We may have already been notified of this child by another source but multiple notifications will help to increase the accuracy of the estimation of incidence. If you have seen a child with a stroke then we would be grateful if you would consider inviting the child and their family to participate in this study (we will usually only ask the child's main clinician to do this). Patients and their families were consulted during the design of this study and they felt that participation would be welcomed by most families.
